A brief history of the Oak Club

Bringing together individuals across communities at Harvard since 1999, the Oak Club at Harvard University currently has over 300 alumni globally.

Originally founded as a chapter of the Delta Upsilon fraternity by Mike Tringe and Carmelo Tringali, the organization officially took the Oak Club moniker in 2005, maintaining the goal to bring together diverse individuals of strong character from across campus to develop deep and meaningful lifelong friendships. Originally an all-male club, in 2017 undergraduate and alumni members voted for the organization to embrace gender neutral admissions policies.

Oak alumni live and work in numerous states and countries and have thrived as leaders in finance, law, medicine, politics, and the arts.
